Troubleshooting Guide for Whale Spa Pedicure Spa’s
Below are instructions and answers to help with maintaining and fixing your Whale Spa products. If you have a questions or need further support please contact us.
Base surface
If the surface of the base is discolored
The color has probably been affected because of direct contact with chemicals to the basin. When prolonged exposure to bleach, barbicide, acetone or other strong chemicals, it may affect your pedicure spa base.
Base is damaged
When the base is cracked during normal use, please send us a picture of the crack and email to Skyline@Skylinebeautysupply.com or call us for assistance. If we shipped it to you cracked, please make a note on the bill of lading and call 1-888-650-7888.
Power Drain Motor
The drain pump does not work.
Check the power source (see if all things are connected, plugs, extension cords, tubes, etc.)
Drain Pump makes noises.
Remove the drain pump from the chair, check to see if there are any particles in the housing of the discharge pump and then remove them.
Drain Pump gets very hot.
Disconnect the power cord.
Drain Pump does not stop.
Check the air tube.
There is a burning smell emanating from discharge pump.
Remove the pump from the chair, check to see if there are any particles in the housing of the discharge pump and then remove them
Drain pump converter box doesn’t work

Miscellaneous Parts on the Base
Shower Head is cracked
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Shower stand is cracked.
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Shower Flex hose is leaking.
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Faucet controller is off from its position
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Water is leaking from the cartridge
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Drain plug is missing.
Pull out the drain plug and see if adjustable screw is attached
On/Off air switch is defective.

Whirlpool System
Jet does not go back in its original position.
If you have another chair or happen to have another jet handy, take out the defective one and compare if the jet is broken or damaged. If damaged call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Jet does not have pressure.
Turn the jet to have the proper pressure of the whirlpool
Jet is not working at all.
Call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Water is leaking when the jets are on.
Check to see where exactly the water is leaking from then call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Problems relating to your Whale Spa Pedicure Spa
Massage rollers are not working.
Check the power source and all other connections to ensure that all the plugs are in the right place.
Massage rollers are not working and there’s not light on the remote control.
Check the power source and all other connections to ensure that all the plugs are in the right place. Check all fuses on the inside of the chair and the outside. If there is a blown fuse, then just replace with a new fuse. If the fuses are not the cause of the problem then call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Massage rollers are not working but the remote is lit.
Check if the timer is functional. Then press time and set it on 5 minutes, then press kneading or tapping. If the timer is not working, then call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Massage rollers work but do not go up or down.
Check the limited sensor switches and check if the wires are properly attached on the limited sensor switches. Last but not least, check if the AC-Motor belt is in the proper position.
Massage rollers go up and down but no kneading or tapping.
Check if the DC-Motor belt is in its position. IF the belt is in its position, then spin the DC motor Pulley manually to get it started. If the belt is off from its position, then place the belt in its original position.
Massage rollers are not Kneading or tapping

Chair does not recline.
Check if the safety pin is inserted properly. If you have more than one of the same pedicure spas, then replace the remote for recliner. If the remote for recliner did not solve the problem, then replace the control box. If that did not work, then replace the control box. If all else fails call local dealer or 1-888-650-7888 for assistance.
Chair does not go backward or forward

Remote control doesn’t work

You hear noises from the massage rollers.
Apply lubrication on the massage rollers.
